Who can host?

We're currently welcoming independent holiday rental owners and managers across the UK who share our values and want to give something back to the blue light and armed forces community.

We're expanding soon into a wider range of stays and experiences – including spas, hotels, B&Bs, wellness retreats, motorhome rentals and complementary therapies. Contact us to register your interest.

Do I need to offer a discount?

Yes – all hosts on Blue Light Escapes offer members a discount, and it's central to what makes us different. Our mission is to make rest, recovery and connection more accessible, personal and affordable for the blue light and armed forces community. Your discount plays a real role in making that possible.

In return, you'll welcome verified, thoughtful guests, benefit from increased visibility and bookings, and be part of a platform that genuinely supports this community.

You can choose the type of discount that works best for you – a percentage (for example, 15% off) or a fixed amount (for example, £50 off). We ask that discounts are meaningful, exclusive to members, and free from overly restrictive terms.

What is your listing model?

We currently offer an enquiry-only / click-through model for individual holiday rental owners. Your rental is listed on our platform for an annual service fee. Members click through to book directly with you using their exclusive discount code. We don't charge fees on bookings.

We're building a booking system as part of our next phase, so members will soon be able to book directly through the platform. You'll still have the option to use the enquiry-only model if you prefer.

What is your service fee?

Our listing fee is £199 plus VAT every 12 months. As a thank you for early support, we're currently offering 20% off for a limited time.

Your fee covers platform running costs and dedicated support from our team. There are no fees on bookings.

How does onboarding work?

Joining us is straightforward. Here's what to expect:

1. Apply: We'll send you a short onboarding form to tell us about you and your rental. This helps us make sure we're a good fit for each other.

2. Verify: To keep our platform safe and trusted, all hosts complete a quick identity check through Veriff, a reputable third-party provider. It takes just a few minutes, requires no app download, and accepts a passport or driving licence.

3. Pay: Once verified, we'll send you a payment link for your annual listing fee. Your 12-month term begins when your listing goes live, not when you pay.

4. Go live: You'll complete a listing onboarding form so we can build a high-quality listing for your rental. Once it's ready, we'll share it with you to review and approve before it goes live.

How do members book?

Members discover your listing on our platform, then either click through to your website to book directly using their exclusive discount code or make an enquiry through our platform.

Can I still list on other platforms?

Yes. We don't require exclusivity. We simply ask that you keep your listing, pricing and calendar up to date so members always get accurate information.

How do I sync my calendar?

We use iCal links to sync calendars across platforms. It's a universal format – quick to set up and simple to maintain, so your availability is always accurate wherever you're listed.

Is my PMS integrated?

We're building PMS integrations soon. For now, iCal sync is available to keep your availability up to date across platforms.

What control do I have over my listing?

Full control. You set your rates, manage your availability and retain your own booking terms. We're here to support you, not to dictate how you run your rental.

Do you offer a refund?

Yes – we believe in fairness, full stop. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date you pay your listing fee, no questions asked.
